Last night Rotary Club of Broomfield Crossing held its year end celebration at the home of Jan and Jo Anne Stokes. We were pleased to have about 40 of our Rotary members and friends attend this great evening. Congratulations to Kyle Dimitt for his great leadership, and a big thanks to him and Holly Taylor in agreeing to a shared president role in our club for the 2026-27 Rotary Year.
- Rotarian of the Year was Presented to Bill Muirheid
- Paula Padilla was inducted as our newest club member
- Members Chris Kassel, Peter Crouse, Jo Ann Stokes, and Michael Blacwood were presented with their Paul Harris Fellow recognition
- Alice Kidney was presented with "Sooper Scooper Award" for the person that came closest to scooping bags during our packaging for Broomfield FISH
Kyle presented to the club our accomplishments for the 2025-26 Rotary year, which included:
- over $110,000 in total community impact (including volunteer hour value) which included grants awarded, scholarships given, bulk food packaging for Broomfield FISH
- we packaged 40,350lbs of bulk commodities for Broomfield FISH
- we awarded almost $20,000 in grants to non-profits in our community
- we participated in the Rotary Epic Day of Service
- we sponsored our annual Santa Visit Program
- we volunteered doing Road cleanup of our adopted section of Sheridan Blvd
- we volunteered at the Lakeshore Cafe serving lunch to seniors in our community
- we gave a book to every student at Emerald Elementary School prior to their winter break
- we helped organize youth activities with our Broomfield Interact Club, Young RYLA attendees, and planning for our incoming Exchange Student
