Our Club had a very busy and successful December. In addition to our meetings, packaging for Broomfield FISH, and our weekly social gatherings, we pulled off a very successful Santa Visit season. Hopefully some is captured in the pictures attached. Thanks to all Broomfield Crossing Rotarians and friends for their help.
DECEMBER 8TH PARADE FOR FRIENDS OF BROOMFIELD
Each year since 2020 we have hosted a parade for those at the FRIENDS facility in Broomfield. Father Christmas & Mrs. Claus are in the parade along with the Broomfield Police Department, North Metro Fire Department, and a number of decorated cars.
DECEMBER 8TH HHS PARTY FOR FOSTER CHILDREN & THEIR FAMILIES
Each year in conjunction with City & County of Broomfield Health & Human Services, we host a party for foster children and their families at the Community Center. They enjoy games, cookie decorating, and visiting with Father Christmas & Mrs. Claus. We give each child a gift sack with candy and a $25 gift card.
DECEMBER 12TH KOHL STREET KIDS PRESCHOOL & AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Each year Father Christmas & Mrs. Claus visit with Kohl Street Kids Preschool and After School children to give sacks of candy and give the children a chance to talk with Father Christmas and sing Christmas carols.
DECEMBER 19TH HOLIDAY BRUNCH & BOOK LABELING FOR EMERALD SCHOOL
Every year before Emerald Elementary School in Broomfield closes for the winter break, we purchase a book for each of the children attending that school. We place a label in each book on which the teachers then put the name of the student receiving this book.
A Special Thanks to Mike Danies who played Father Christmas, and Holly Taylor who played Mrs. Claus for the holiday festivities.
